Walking into a new studio for the first time can feel intimidating — especially if you’re new to Pilates or barre. At Flow, we believe your first class should feel welcoming, calm, and supportive from the moment you arrive.
Here’s what you can expect when you join us for your first class at Flow Pilates Studio in Laredo.
Arriving at the studio
We recommend arriving about 10–15 minutes early so you can check in, settle in, and take a breath. Our space is designed to feel relaxed and unhurried, and our instructors are always happy to answer questions or help you feel comfortable before class begins.
What to wear and bring
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely — leggings or fitted athletic wear are perfect. Bare feet or grip socks are ideal for Pilates and barre classes. Mats and props are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything except yourself and a water bottle.

The pace of class
Classes at Flow move with intention. We focus on control, alignment, and mindful movement rather than rushing through exercises. You’ll be guided clearly, encouraged to listen to your body, and reminded often that rest and modification are always welcome.
Being new (and modifying)
You don’t need prior experience to attend a class at Flow. Many of our students start with little or no background in Pilates or barre. Our instructors offer options throughout class so you can move at your own pace and build confidence over time.
The overall feeling
Flow is a space where movement feels human — not performative. There’s no pressure to “keep up” or push beyond your limits. Each class is an opportunity to reconnect with your body, build strength gradually, and leave feeling grounded and supported.
If you’ve been curious about Pilates or barre, your first class is a great place to begin. We’re here to meet you exactly where you are.
Your first class at Flow is on us — we’d love to welcome you.
